The first release on the imprint, which is set to drop on July 29, is an eloquent piece of music titled 'Clarity' from UK duo Model Man. Ahead of Apex Faction's debut EP, Fitzpatrick has handed over his pensive remix of the track to Mixmag for a premiere. “When I first heard Model Man’s track ‘Ketones’, it absolutely blew me away," Fitzpatrick explains. "I love their vibe and wanted to shout about them to the world. ‘Clarity’ is a perfect debut release for Apex. I’m keen to push music I believe in and I’m buzzing to have these guys at the forefront of my new label."

Headed up by Desert Hearts founder Marbs and fellow sonic explorer Evan Casey, the label aims to venture "into the deeper and darker avenues of electronic music." For the label's debut release, Marbs and Evan Casey link up with Rinzen for a three-track EP titled 'Torus'. Ahead of its release on August 9, this trio of splendid artists has handed over the cut 'Helix' - a mischevious, seven-minute techno excursion packed with chimeric synth arrangements and exceptional soundscapes.

    @mergelayers has been on a fine run of form recently and is keeping the good times rolling with a new six-track EP from A-Sim, featuring a remix from label co-head @nobel. French producer A-Sim has released on legendary techno imprints like Rawax and R&S recently, and brings one of the darker releases the Merge Layers catalogue has seen so far with pounding kicks driving through opening track 'The Homie Breakdown'.     @Staycore117’s @Dinamarca117 returns to the label with a ‘Vocalized’ version of his blissful 2018 EP ‘Sol De Mi Vida’. The EP, which translates to ‘Light Of My Life’, saw the 'Emotional Dance Music' kingpin explore a lighter, sweeter side of his musical palette across the seven instrumentals. Now, he’s offering up a floor-focused, vocal heavy rework featuring the likes of coucou chloe, Eartheater, Yayoyanoh, Ms Nina and La Favi. On ‘Jevi’, Bay Area crooner La Favi joins Spain-based artist Ms Nina on mic as the pair shift the lowkey reggaeton beat into a whine-ready summer banger with a distinkt Staycore edge. “I wanted to show a mix of different vocalists and genres; Spanish, English, French and Congolese. This selection of artist would never normally be on the same record,” says Dinamarca. “I am trying to make music that hasn’t existed before.
