Daniele Di Martino - Transformer (Original Mix) 02. Daniele Di Martino - Something (Original Mix) 03. Daniele Di Martino - Gerudi (Original Mix) Release Info: Our next Chapter brings Berlin-based Daniele Di Martino to the fore with a typically robust and direct offering in the form of the Transformer EP. The MONO.NOISE label head follows up recent releases on Get Physical, Katermukke and Bar 25 with a set of three heavy hitters that showcase his clinical style and very effectively straddle the more melodic end of the worlds of house and techno. Title track 'Transformer' delivers chunky beats, afro swagger and hooky call and response synths that make for a memorable and lasting impression and beg repeat plays. Meanwhile 'Something' follows this up with a crescendo of eerie top lines and unsettling atmospheres that give way to a pulsing, undulating techno groove. Both tracks are a masterclass in the use of dancefloor tension. The package is rounded off by a collaboration with fellow Berliner Robin Schellenberg. 'Gerudi' has a slightly techier flavour anchored around a repeating synth, all set off by a devastating squelchy bass and a soaring break. These powerful stories in sound are bound to be recounted again and again this summer. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ ALL PREMIERS: ALL FREE DOWNLOADS: ALL PODCAST EPISODES:

The bpm might be lower than back in the days, but there‘s just as much energy coming off these irresistible tunes in their updated versions. Featuring the original‘s sizzling synth work by Kompakt co-founder Wolfgang Voigt‘s early collaborative projects, Planet Love Ink strikes an upbeat chord in order to show off its grand piano break for maximum effect. Equally tapping into the early nineties, Structure – We are Structure is a weighty acid banger with no frills attached. Straight, honest and nailing era‘s vibe to the core. B-Side‘s all about old school trance, booming breaks, and epic synth-sweeps, in this instantly captivating, elevating and driving rework of Illuminatae – Tremora del Terra, a hymn to many back in the days.

  • Nic Fanciulli - Miracle (Body Rock) (Paul Woolford Endless Bassline Mix)
    Crosstown Rebels

Out now on Crosstown Rebels: Having just announced his first solo Ibiza residency, Dance or Die, Nic Fanciulli continues his impressive run of form with a long-awaited debut on Crosstown Rebels. Entitled Miracle (Body Rock), the two-track release includes a stunning remix from esteemed UK talent Paul Woolford. Beginning things in fine form is Nic Fanciulli’s original Miracle (Body Rock). Whispering percussion combines with the subtle plucking of guitar strings, as echoing vocals are layered underneath soft, moving pads to create a well-rounded, moving number. Paul Woolford’s Endless Bassline remix comes next. Stuttering hi-hats provide rhythm as the titular rolling bassline chugs on, whilst toneful piano keys merge with reverberating, soulful vocals. Unique, yet staying true to the original, the addition of distorted claps helps create the perfect dancefloor cut; but it is the re-singing of classic Jomanda’s ‘Make My Body Rock’ vocals that links both tracks in a moving, emotive fashion. A name synonymous with electronic music culture, Nic Fanciulli is a DJ, producer, festival curator and label owner whose career has spanned two decades. It was in 2005 that Nic founded Saved Records, an imprint that is now synonymous with releases from some of the scenes greatest, including Adam Beyer and Hot Since 82. But it was his latest release on Rekids, titled Understand, that further cemented his reputation as a standout music producer, with a clear-cut ear for the perfect dancefloor melody. Paul Woolford is a veteran of the UK’s electronic music scene. A prolific producer who has used many aliases, the British talent has recorded five Essential Mixes for Radio 1 as well as holding down a nine-year residency at Space Ibiza. His recent releases demonstrate his continued talent for producing, including You Already Know, Hang Up Your Hang Ups and Story of My Life on Hot Creations.

    Jeden Tag Ein Set

• BEDDIGI145 2. Fairmont - Scopulus
    Bedrock Records

Out now on Bedrock Fairmonts Brothers Keeper EP (BEDDIGI123) was a beacon of creative originality and his eagerly awaited follow-up Scropulus EP unveils another immaculate 3-track electronic collection. The blossoming relationship between Bedrock and Jake Fairley aka Fairmont, the Toronto-based electronic music producer, live performer and DJ, whose inimitable grasp of contrast, dynamic and groove marks him out as a true originator, is exciting in the extreme. Frozen In Glass immediately bends the ear with its hypnotising looped hooks and intriguing vocal snippets, as it travels away on a steadily pulsating groove dynamic, atmospheric electronic mastery at its finest, with hints of psychedelia to top thing off. Title tack, Scropulus, twists the dial further, delving deeper into dark corners, layering and stirring tense electronic textures to create a highly original, fizzing recipe for the dancefloor. Completing this highly invigorating package, the low-slung, hip-swinging groove of Terminal Z forms the perfect backbone as the track swarms and circles superbly to create the flawless head-melting finale to an exceptional EP. Take a dive down Fairmonts rabbit hole and you wont ever want to come back. Having begun his career making punk-rock-infused Techno and Electro under his own name, it was Gazebo (Border Community, 2005) in his Fairmont guise that positioned Jake as a global heavyweight. His ability to fuse well-crafted songwriting with powerful electronic attitude, whilst incorporating seemingly disparate and unexpected elements into his truly original creative palette, continuously drives Fairmont out there, into his own exceptional artist space. In 2014 he commenced DJing as well as playing live and has built a serious reputation and ever-expanding fanbase for his trippy and propulsive sets as he tours every continent on the globe.
