A modern folk duet with spoken word Lyrics Indiana Man Workin' on my knees Fixin' up choppers 'n tossin' out feed Looking for a nut, found a screw TruValue to Kalamazoo A chocolate-covered cherry got me you Indiana girl fresh in the world Just waiting for my wings to unfurl Looking for a nut, found a screw Your nose was black and blue A chocolate-covered cherry got me you Tryin' ta start a family 'n put down roots Wanna fill our tree full of fruits It took us eight years Boy they flew Got a gift right outta the blue We hoped for one but honey we got two Taught me how to walk, taught me how to fly Taught me like a man not afraid to cry As a boy I didn't know how to listen, how to grow, How to make a mark on my own. As a man I can see, you taught me what you could: Do what's right, do what's good, Try to leave a legacy. Singin' memories of the past Tryin' ta make the good ones last. Indiana man, workin' for the man, Doin' everything he can. Floatin' on the wind, Indiana seed, Grew into a Paw Paw Tree. Indiana Man, didn't stick to plan, Looking for a plot to land Floatin' on the wind Indiana seed Grew into a Paw Paw Tree Honey I got you And honey you got me Composed by Chris Lippert (spoken word), Sarah Wood (vocals), Brian Davis (guitar and vocals), and David McCoy (harmonica)

The Surrender Prayer by Nathalie Sage I surrender to the unknown I release all control I trust that I am safely held In the warmth of grace and in the arms of love may the highest truth be revealed in time may patience fill my heart may thoughts of trust fill my mind knowing that spirit will never withhold that which is truly mine I surrender to the unknown I release all control I trust that I am safely held In the warmth of grace and in the arms of love although waves of chaos swallows me whole although I get lost at sea and sometimes lose sight of the shore I know the calm waters will return with the cycles of the sun, stars and the moon I surrender to the unknown I release all control I trust that I am safely held In the warmth of grace and in the arms of love I surrender, I release, I surrender, I release I release all unhelpful thoughts I release the patterns of fear from my body I release the limiting chains of my past I know that the divine will arrive the moment I open my heart

www.robbie-boyd.com Moments Written by Robbie Boyd I’m not broken, my heart’s open though you’re walking out the door I’ll be stronger with my own Love, I’ll be me, myself and more I don’t need you to complete me like before And I just have to let go of it all More understanding, gives me freedom, and the space for no regrets I’ve got wisdom, I’ve got movements, I’ve got my Soul’s Love to express Oh and I won’t accept anything less Yes ‘cause I know that it starts with myself So, if the weight of the world is on your shoulders If it gets too hard then try to understand They can clip your wings but you can sing a different kind of song Where each moment is a moment to belong I’ve seen Heaven, I’ve seen Angels, I’ve seen Sirius’ light I keep feeling into my hurts as I go life after life Now I’m healing what I’ve been in for so long And I’m revealing what it means to be wrong So, if the weight of the world is on your shoulders If it gets too hard then try to understand They can clip your wings but you can sing a different kind of song Where each moment is a moment to belong Well, have you ever questioned why we do the things we do? And wondered if there was another way? And could there be a reason and a rhyme to everything? If we could only learn to trust in love again So, if the weight of the world is on your shoulders If it gets too hard then try to understand They can clip your wings but you can sing a different kind of song Where each moment is a moment to belong Where each moment is a moment to belong

A song that shows the contrast between where it all went terribly bad, in betrayal, and how the roots of the family carry you home. Note: The tribute to Bob Dylan's 'You Ain't Going Nowhere' at the end is actually a memory of the Aunts and Uncles coming together and singing harmonies on that Dylan song. Throughout the decades. That spirit of voice was an integral part in being able to get through all of the other family drama. Thank you!

How many chimneys must a man climb down Before you can call him Saint Nick How many guys dressed in red do you know That put naughty kids on their list How many gifts must the jolly guy give Before you believe he exists? The answer my friend, is snowing in the wind The answer is snowing in the wind How many reindeer are pulling the sleigh With Rudolph's red nose in the lead How many elves have been making new toys To make sure your joy's guaranteed How many times yes, your bed time is now He won't come if you're not asleep The answer my friend, is snowing in the wind The answer is snowing in the wind How many trees dressed with tinsel and lights How many lights in the trees How many treats for each reindeer No Santa won't need any keys How 'bout you put your pajamas on How 'bout you do brush your teeth The answer my friend, is snowing in the wind The answer is snowing in the wind

You could open with your failings Make them understand, show the love notes Make them picture with their eyes closed Make them wonder where the time goes Keep your distance south of river Draw a line, they are not together Make it screech, stop, wait, turn red Make me wonder where the time went You will not save me a standoff Be another stranger, land here I will leave this empty handed Feeling selfish, common as shit Leave me question where your heart lands How you open-wounded withstand Lead me into some false pretense I will ruin you in a second Leave it up to interpretation Open-ended invitation In your wedding, I could crash it Whisper in your ear "God, I missed you" It's been too much, I can't stand it Then I'll cry there in the staff room Selling my seats to your concerts I won't stomach it if I see you Walking so tall I can't reach you Happier pretty picture With some new pretty little blue You will not save me a standoff You will not save me a standoff

green on the other side 1. the wind is blowing at my window I can hear the trees complain they breathe the sound of sorrow empty evening once again and I sit and drink my tea lookin at pictures of you and me the clock ticks on the wall telling me nothing, telling me nothing, in no time at all 2. I can’t sleep till the morning and I can’t wake till the afternoon no one comes and no one’s calling and the night is here too soon and I sit and drink my wine thinking back to a better time I stumble down the hall finding nothing, wanting nothing, nothing at all (middle) somewhere out there there’s a good life but it won’t fall in my hand I know I need to make some changes If you were here you’d understand 3. The leaves are dancing on the pavement I couldn’t count them if I tried I’m waiting at the cross roads looking for green on the other side and its day by night by day I don’t care what the others say there’s a purpose here, for sure and I’m going find it, I’m going live it, more and more just now more and more I’m going to find it, I’m going to live it, woh-oh-oh (painting by John Nash, 1946)

Another character theme from that defunct video game I was once developing (the song Yhona also being from there https://soundcloud.com/adam-glenen/yhona-perpetual-motion-machine). It's supposed to be about a group who has unflinching faith in a leader who secretly has no faith in themself. Featuring in a couple places a 3d printed ocarina. Could it be a first for Soundcloud? Lyrics: There's a little part found in everyone A part in all that wants no more than Simplicity and calm, ease to walk along Any path they lay before them A hole at every step, each and every step A precipice to greet the fallen And it's too far to walk, way too far to walk Too far to walk, so best get crawling So let's go (you lead and I will follow) And let's see (afield of pain and sorrow) Where we get taken (of pledges false and hollow) By a damn fool (to a bespoke tomorrow) And am I (beacon that shines forever) And what I stand for (hope too proud to surrender) Merely a sad a specious lie (nothing we cannot weather) I'm to preach 'til I die (as we remain together) A subtle and a slight little point of light But a point of light can break through an Old and broken door to the cracking floor It goes the distance, by nature proven Maybe that light will hit just right Shriveled leaves, make them green anew and in What was no home to hope will grow a mighty oak Raze the walls and roof to ruin (Chorus repeated) Once alone and now a multitude Bravely wielding tools of change, or merely screwed? Maybe all those dreamers needed all these years of pain Was someone to look to No god, just precious blood and flesh will do Let's go And I'm sorry You should have someone Far better than I And it's too late (a wall at every turn, each and every turn) No way to go back (a wall sky-high and mantle-deep) If we are damned to lay defeated (And it's too high to climb, way too high to climb) It'll be having tried (Too high to climb, so in faith best take a leap)

(Dec 1, 2020) BY THE LIGHTS ON THE TREE By Eric Brace & Last Train Home Back in 2000, the acclaimed roots-rock band Last Train Home released HOLIDAY LIMITED, a six-song slice of seasonal joy. Included on that EP was the song "Christmas in St. Paul," a rumination on year's end and hope for new beginnings, set at a Christmas party in the Twin Cities. Now at the end of the strangest and hardest year most of us have ever lived, Last Train Home and lead singer/songwriter Eric Brace give us the gorgeous "By the Lights on the Tree," a tune that revisits some of the characters we first met in "Christmas in St. Paul." With their signature joyful blend of trumpets and pedal steel, saxophone and organ, guitars and harmonies, Eric Brace & Last Train Home ponder some unanswerables, like: "Where does the time go?" "When can we visit friends again?" And, "Where can I find a damn stamp around here?" Released as a stand-alone single by the East Nashville label Red Beet Records, "By the Lights on the Tree," is available on all streaming platforms worldwide. CREDITS Eric Brace: Acoustic guitar, vocals Jared Bartlett: Electric guitar Kevin Cordt: Trumpet Jim Gray: Electric bass Martin Lynds: Drums, sleigh bells Scott McKnight: Baritone guitar, organ Dave Van Allen: Pedal steel guitar Chris Watling: Saxophone Bill Williams: Banjo, harmony vocals Recorded by Cowboy Keith Thompson, Matt Tebo, Jared Bartlett, Eric Brace, Scott McKnight, Bill Williams, and Dave Van Allen Mixed by Jared Bartlett Mastered by Alex McCollough, True East Mastering Artwork by Bill Thompson Design BY THE LIGHTS ON THE TREE (Lyrics) Hello Eileen, We've been thinking of you And those parties at your house on Otis Lane I can't believe the time that's passed Twenty years have gone so fast I wish someone could tell me where it goes I see old pictures everybody posts Of Santa hats and New Year's toasts And everybody's having so much fun I'm glad we didn't know back then The things that we know now I can't believe we ever were that young The twins are home now back from school I guess they'll stay awhile They look more like their mother everyday Last night we put up the tree Tonight we'll hang the lights And lift a glass to happy yesterdays Oh Santa, you came to St. Paul You came and went, and so did we Those holidays a golden haze All those years ago Trying to hold on to the memories We miss St. Paul and Madison But the Gulf Coast feels like home We've got hurricanes but we don't miss the cold You've got to come on down to Galveston Who knows when that might be I hope it happens before we all get old I could email, just click and send But thought I'd use my father's pen And write like this if I remember how If I find a stamp it's on its way I'll put it in the mail With love from me, the twins, and Suzannah Oh Santa, you came to St. Paul You came and went, and so did we Those holidays a golden haze All those years ago It's hard to hold on to the memories Oh Santa, we'll wait for you tonight We'll be waiting by the lights of the tree They shine in every color They shine just like they did All those years ago A fading memory
